Today in computer lab, we learned about careers and future salaries.First, we picket out things that we are going to have like: where we are going to live, what kind of car we wanted, or the clothes we wanted. Then, we got a list of jobs that suited our picks. Thirdly, we answered 180 questions to see what jobs and salaries matched our like. I learned that there are a lot of jobs that I never imagined about and it was fun seeing all the salaries, even though I didn't like some jobs.

Pollution is bad for bears!

Today in science lab, we learned about how pollution affects bears. We worked with teddy bears and had to pick two bears out of the tub and see if it made a combination of a pollutant and bear, two bears, or two pollutants. I learned how many bears die of pollution. 20,000 bears die of pollution and it includes polar bears. Pollution is bad for animals, so if whenever a person is smoking, tell him/her to stop polluting!

so does toothpaste!
bottle of water(aka killer plastic bottle)
Don't drink out of plastic bottles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Even carpets have plastic!
Today in science lab, I learned about how plastic revolves around people’s life. First of all, 90% of a person's house is full of things that are made from petroleum products. Second of all, most Californians use plastic right when they wake up because the carpet, alarm clock, toothpaste, toothbrush, rinsing cup, and light switch all contain petroleum products. Thirdly, plastic is really dangerous because it has harmful chemicalsEven though people cannot live without plastic, plastic is still harmful to the human body. So next time, make sure to not get a plastic water bottle!

In computer lab, I learned some language arts and science skills. One of the language arts skills was understanding poetry. In the game, I had to describe the poem like: if it had personification, similes, metaphors or rhyme. The other skill was sentence fluency. I had to arrange the words of the sentence so it made sense. Also, I had to put conjunctions so the sentence made sense. Secondly, I learned some science skills. One skill was living things. In that skill, I learned about the heart circulation and how to make plants grow. To make the plants grow, it needed the specific amount of water and sunlight. All these skills could help me because some of them are part of daily life. It was interesting learning all these spectacular skills.

computer lab

Today in computer lab, I learned about 3 skills: finding angles, shapes, vertexes, edges, and faces. Firstly, we learned about shapes by finding shapes in a room and eliminating shapes that didn't describe the note. I could apply that to daily life because there are shapes all around us like cylinders for soda cans, cuboids for computers, and much more shapes. Secondly, we learned about vertexes, edges, and faces by organizing shapes into different categories like: 2 faces, 4 faces, or 6 faces. Thirdly, we learned about angles by guarding the robot to the finish line. Angles could apply to daily life if people are constructors and have to find the measure of a corner. Learning about skills that apply to daily life, was exciting.

Computer Lab

Today in computer lab, I learned about different math skills including frequency diagrams, mean, mode, median, range, and probability. First of all, I learned about frequency diagrams by finding how many people have plague and worked with tally charts and graphs. Secondly, I learned about mean, mode, median, and range by weighing creatures. Since mean, mode, median, and range help with daily life, it’s really important to learn it. Thirdly, I learned about probability, which is a guess like: possible, certain, unlikely, or likely. Probability is like when a person is tossing a coin and is part of daily life like: betting , picking candy from a bag or choosing a marble from a bag. There is a 50-50 chance that it could land on heads or tail. Learning about daily life skills, was very fun and interesting.

Computer Lab

In computer lab, I learned about how big of a deal starvation is and the game Food Force. In the game, Food Force, it explains how to help people with starvation like packing nutritious food. Also, it taught how to throw food sacks to the people by adjusting with the wind. There are starvation problems still today, and almost 15 million children, die from starvation everyday. How can starvation be solved by human beings of 2012, who are the only ones who can end this?

Computer Lab Wonders

Probably wondering about Raspberry Pi on this fine day.... Raspberry Pi is a single-board computer that is portable and can be plugged into a computer and TV! It is plugged in with a cell phone charger, keyboard plug, and other plugs too. On the Raspberry Pi, it could create a word document, play video games, and even has a USB port. The Raspberry Pi was designed in UK and sold 10,000 of them on the first sale. Tired with having to carry the big laptop everywhere, the answer to that is a Raspberry Pi.
